Fashion find: Affordable alternative to Valentino Rockstud shoes

Fashion find: Affordable alternative to Valentino Rockstud shoes

Never would I even dream of spending upwards of $800 for a pair shoes, no matter how beautiful. Having said that Valentino’s Rockstud shoes do make me pause whenever I walk through the shoe departments at Neiman Marcus or Nordstom.

However, never would I ever be able to wear these beautiful Valentino shoes because the heels are so high I simply couldn’t wear them and walk at the same time. Granted, Valentino does offer some styles of the Rockstud shoes in sandals and flats, but then again, let’s not forget there is still the huge pricetag to overcome.

So you can imagine my happiness when I came across a comparable look at a fraction of the price and guess what? They were flats.

These pointy toe, t-strap studded flats, called Olson from Halogen are available at Nordstrom and are nearly an exact dupe if you like the look of the pricier Valentino style. However, these are priced at just $89.95 and are currently on sale for 20% off, bringing the total to just $69.90. If you happen to have Nordstrom Rewards, you can even sweeten the deal.

They come in several colors, but oddly enough, you have to search for them. They don’t come up all on one link. At this link, you’ll find the shoe in Citrus Leather, Coral Patent Leather, Natural Snake Print Leather, Pale Blue Patent, White Leather and Yellow Patent.

At this link, you’ll find the same shoe in Black Leather, Black on Black Stringray Print Leather and Pale Pink Leather.

Finally, at this link, you’ll find the same style in Denim, while at this link, youll find it in Beige/Black Dot Haircalf.

Affordable alternative Valentino Rockstud shoes
So excited about my Halogen pointy toe studded flats in (from left) Citrus Leather, Coral Patent, Black on Black Stingray Print Leather, Pale Blue Patent and Denim. Now on sale at Nordstrom for $69.95 with free shipping.

I was skeptical at first because in addition to having had two foot surgeries, I suffer from occasional flares of plantar fascitis. Yet, despite these problems, I found these shoes oh, so comfortable. When you have problems finding comfortable shoes, and then you do, you buy more than one pair, so I did invest in a few pairs shown above.

I noticed that a few styles, the Beige/Black Dot Haircalf are getting limited in sizes, so if interested, get them while you can.
